Terms of Service

By using the Google Classroom MCP application, you agree to the following terms.

Description of the Service

The service provides a way to connect your Google Classroom account to Claude Desktop through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It consists of:

• A web-based authorization flow that generates an OAuth refresh token
• An MCP server (@salshah20/google-classroom-mcp) that runs locally on your computer and provides read-only access to your Google Classroom data

Your Google Account

You are responsible for the security of your Google account and your OAuth credentials. The refresh token generated during authorization grants read-only access to your Google Classroom data. Keep your claude_desktop_config.json file secure and do not share it with others, as it contains your token.

Permitted Use

You may use the service to access your own Google Classroom data for personal or educational purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the service to access accounts you are not authorized to use
• Attempt to circumvent the read-only limitations of the service
• Redistribute or share your refresh token with others
• Use the service in violation of Google's Terms of Service or your institution's policies

Educational Accounts

If you are using a Google Workspace for Education account, your use of the service may be subject to additional policies set by your school or institution. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of the service complies with those policies.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Google Classroom API changes may affect the functionality of the service at any time.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data or unauthorized access to your account.

Revocation of Access

You can revoke the service's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page and removing access. You can also remove the configuration from your claude_desktop_config.json file to stop the MCP server from running.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
